Show & Tell

Back in July, the Guild had a Play Day where we learned how to do needle punch projects. Some gals already knew how to do this and some were attempting it for the first time. In conjunction with this, orders were taken for some wonderful wooden boxes that were designed especially for storing the needles and threads needed for these projects. There was a a recessed area in the lid that was perfect for displaying a punch needled piece. Tonia ordered one of these boxes and recently completed a design she found in a book by Maggie Bonanomi. She used a vinegar painting technique that gave the box a beautiful grain finish - then she mounted the needlework into the lid for the perfect finish. Thanks for sharing with us Tonia!
